To give you an idea of what we are about, here are some pictures of our third generation working farm.
It started out in 1925 raising chickens and field crops. In the 1970's, peppermint expanded the variety of crops raised.
Today, the chickens are thankfully gone. My husband, two boys and I have added the Seed Cleaning facility,
Hazelnut Orchards and raise a number of seed crops with grass seed being the majority of the 1000 acres we farm in the
gorgeous Willamette Valley. Some of the other crops are vegetables, wheat, mint, flowers and herbs for the seed
along with beans and corn for food. In 2025, we will be a Century farm which is an exciting milestone for any farming
family!
Our dogs enjoy the farm in their outdoor fenced play area. They have about 1/4 acre to run around for most
of the day, coming in and out of our house for family time and then, they sleep in the house at night. The
normal inclement Oregon weather made us put up a covered 30' X 30' exercise run area for those "special" days when it is too
rough for them to be outside. Since I do not work outside the home, the dogs get my full attention. Preparing
for shows takes an incredible amount of time for handling and grooming. I have now begun to handle dogs for others
so there is even more involved. We attend weekly Handling classes, socialize our dogs in the community and
work with each dog individually, daily. They are also brushed daily with weekly show grooming tasks. The entire
family works very hard to keep our dogs healthy and happy, mentally and physically. They are truly cherished!!!
